Altron Communications Equipment Ltd. has established itself as the market leader in CCTV mounting equipment, producing a wide range of products from small intricate bracketry to poles, towers and columns which can be seen across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, in fact across every continent.

As a whole, the Company has the ability to produce engineered items from 2 dimensional, intricately profiled components through to complete assembled products, using a wide range of traditional skills coupled with the latest CAD/CAM and machine technology.

In August of 2002, Altron moved into purpose built premises, retaining laser cutting, punching and warehouse facilities on a separate site. Between the two sites, covering 7 acres, there is
100,000 square feet of covered production capacity and an extensive office complex.

Altron has over 25 years experience in the design, manufacture and supply of structures for the CCTV and communications industries and other associated markets. There are over 600 town and city centres using Altron CCTV mounting products throughout the United Kingdom, from
John O’Groats to Lands End. In addition our products help protect some of the most strategic sites in the British Isles and worldwide.

With in-house production of components and a minimum reliance on external suppliers Altron is the competitive source of supply for your CCTV mounting products.We have the design and engineering ability for small batch and prototype production, and the capacity to produce high volumes whilst achieving the minimum lead times required in the CCTV industry today.

Altron is in an industry where service levels are paramount. Meeting our customer’s delivery requirements is not just about saying that we are going to, we always strive to do this.
The relationship with our suppliers and the communication here is crucial. When coupled with sufficient stock levels and well maintained and upgraded machinery, enabling a quick response, we are thus able to quote minimum lead times with confidence. Our aim is to achieve a 100% delivery performance.

Reinvesting for the Future

Without reinvestment in new machinery and upgrading existing machinery and processes, Altron would fall by the wayside, overtaken by the tide of technological advance. There is an ongoing investment programme across the company to implement the latest technologies and improve
systems and processes. This investment programme will, we hope, give our customers confidence in the ability of Altron to continue meeting their demands in the coming months and
years, in a world where minimum lead times, quality manufacture and competitive pricing are the unsaid expectations.

Not only finish quality which is our ultimate aim – but right from the design stage (based on many years experience and investment in software aids), through to material supply from reputable suppliers and onto investment in the latest technology to aid manufacturing processes, thus
reducing the possibility of manufacturing errors.

N.B.We are, at present, in the process of implementing ISO9001:2000 to formally control our manufacturing processes.

Design

We have a full in-house design capability based on many years experience in the design of CCTV mounting structures and brackets, personnel doors, security enclosures and self-supporting, galvanised structures and associated brackets for the communications and associated markets.

Altron’s knowledge of CCTV structures and bracketry is unrivalled.With our expertise we are happy to design any special structure or bracket calling upon our experience of the associated lighting and communications industries to provide unique solutions to challenging designs.

The latest software and CAD/CAM design packages are used along with specialist structural design software. We design to all relevant British and European standards, and carry out
in-house and external research, development and testing of the company’s extensive product ranges and processes.

Innovation

Altron continually look for new ideas to accommodate an ever changing market place in which new products require yet more demanding mounting products.

To achieve this, we constantly monitor new camera products being launched for suitability with our products. In addition, we constantly listen to our customers’ feedback to ensure our
product range is always improved. Having had so many products and ideas copied we now patent and register our designs where appropriate.

Our commitment is to progress continually through innovative design and manufacture.

Delivery and Transport Capability

Altron runs a fleet of 7 dedicated vehicles delivering poles, towers and brackets across the whole of the United Kingdom. Four of our vehicles are specially built with long beds and
vehicle mounted hiab cranes, capable of delivering and placing poles up to 15 metres in length. We also use regular specialist sub-contractors when our delivery schedule requires additional
capacity, with the ability to deliver and place poles of up to 20 metres in length.

We run regular deliveries to Northern and Southern Ireland and ship goods using our regular shipping agents, worldwide.

Training

A comprehensive database of back-up technical information is available to support the details within this brochure and Altron’s wide and versatile product ranges.

One area that may require further assistance and training however is the use of our winch kits for tilt-down models. Dependent on demand, we run regular training sessions to certify operators as ‘Competent Persons’ to operate Altron tilt - down products.
