Company Overview
Altron has been designing and manufacturing tower and column structures since the early 1980’s and started producing structures specifically tailored for CCTV camera mounting in 1983.
Over the years we have added to our extensive product range, catering for the developing market’s requirements with many firsts (see our Innovative Solutions).
Specialist Facilities and in house processes
We operate from a purpose built 56,000ft2 factory close to the motorway network. All component production is in-house, using laser cutting, CNC press brakes and other specialist machinery, which allows us to closely control our production processes.
Manufacturing and Fabrication
All manufacturing takes place in-house and as well as fabricating our main product ranges in high tensile steel, we also specialise in fabricating in stainless steel, for which we supply many products as an alternative finish and also in aluminium, mainly for light weight brackets where there are weight limitations on existing structures.
Finishes
Our in-house painting facility enables us to paint camera poles up to 15 metres in length using a hard wearing two part paint system and our powder coating facility means that we can apply hard wearing polyester finishes to our bracket and cabinet ranges. We specialise in applying paint systems over galvanising, so you can be sure of long lasting and durable finishes.
We also specialise in producing many of our products in a brushed finish grade 316 stainless steel, producing a high quality architectural finish.
Ability to Supply
Our minimal reliance on external suppliers enables us to closely control quality, maximise production flexibility, and is at the heart or our ability to supply our wide and varied range of products on competitive lead times.
Skills and Accreditations
We have a highly skilled and experienced work force and have gained ISO 9001:2015 accreditation and the supplementary National Highway Sector Scheme - NHSS scheme 6.
Along with our other industry body accreditations, we are able to supply CCTV structures to all areas of the UK CCTV market.
